Some CSX video action on the KD/Etowah Sub

Tyler Bundy was kind enough to modify the shapes he made for the Peter ONeill (Ossie) bulkhead flatcar loads. This allowed me to stretch and flatten and shorten and do all kinds of nefarious things to the load shapes as I needed to make them fit on SLI, DW, or NAVS flatcars and gondolas, offering more variety for the loads that had been previously confined to Ossie's bulkhead flats.

The green pipe loads stretched 35% and adapted to the SLI 89' flat.

The steel I-beam loads adapted to a DW 70 foot mill gondola.

The steel plate loads flattened to 50% of their original height and adapted to the SLI OTTX flatcar.

Working right now on adapting the shape and re-texturing the covered lumber loads to represent new ties in a TS gondola to go with the TS tie crane/gon combo.

Pay attention to the difference in rolling sounds. The GT coil car and the 5-pack of surphur tankers have the newer Trainsimulations sounds, while the remaining cars have the old SLI sounds. You can tell the difference.

Also note the route has flange squeal sound sources embedded in it on curves that are no longer needed in the Open Rails era. You can tell the difference between the route-based sounds (short cycle squeal) audible on the third video segment and the Trainsimulations car sounds that are now triggered by Open Rails automatically based on degree of curvature and speed.

Caught wind that today's eastbound CPAC UPS train was being led by a quartet of ex-CSLP Fast Forties, so naturally, I headed out to the Canyon to catch them. The leader was recently repainted from the frame up in the CSLP scheme with CPAC numbers, while the other 3 are still wearing their original paint with patches.
