    Default B&O West End

Station stop: Deer Park, MD. Home of the famous Deer Park Spring water served on all the B&O passenger trains. The Deer Park station was demolished in the 1950s.

Great article about the original and pure Deer Park water: http://teaching.msa.maryland.gov/000...1957-1edit.pdf

Chris, you've said this route is set in the transition era. Do you have a specific date or date range targeted? (I'm thinking ahead about what BLWZT rolling stock should be made to compliment it).

I'm working off a 1936 track chart. Buildings are representative of 1946/47. Things really didn't start to change until mid-1950s when dieselization was complete and all steam related facilities were eliminated.

At that time, track was massively changed because coal transport was in permanent decline, local shippers went to trucks and passenger operations were drastically cut. If you want more detailed information I'm certainly willing to share it with you.

Work continues west of Deer Park towards Altamont, so a few scenes leaving the area.

Nice shot of the Deer Park B&O water bottling plant - yes, it's the real Deer Park water.

Lots of work left to do on the landmark Baldwin-designed station.

Could be the trackage was trimmed back by the time Jerry got there?

That mill had it's own switcher. How much WM track do you plan on including?
    Very excited . . .

Enough to make activities for Westport/Piedmont area, since there was an interchange across from the paper mill. And IF I get to Cumberland, then a lot more WM would need to be included because they are very intertwined in the area.
