Thank you Scott. Something doesn't look right and then I realized I didn't have shadows turned on

I'm getting very close to distributing an alpha version of the route. When I extracted the tiles for the B&O route, I did more than necessary for just the West End. The picture shows the unneeded tiles in the Quad tree. Do I need to redo the quad tree or can I just use RR to compact route and leave the quad tree as it is????

A couple spots are right near the tracks, if there are no really high, meaning really high mountains there, yeah, I would extend the quad tree.

    Rick,
Those locations are valleys, where the track is running along the side of the mountain and the view is blocked across the valley by mountains. Here's an example:

    Hi Chris,

Did you create Distant Mountains for it ? Much needed in my humble opinion for mountainous routes...

    Regards,
    Scott

    Scott,
No I did not. You really cannot see them. Running the route is actually quite claustrophobic because the mountains are always right along the tracks.

I don't know if keeping the larger Quad Tree while removing the unused Tile, World and Terrtex files will impact performance. Comments??

Maybe a bit, but probably the biggest impact would be file size. I do wish you could delete unneeded tiles right in TSRE...
