Yes, my trainsim addiction is back with a vengeance.
One problem I am facing with my AI traffic deals with 2 trains sharing the same path.
Train 1: Operates at normal speed (for LGE 4.0 this is 320kmph) and follows speeds properly (this train starts at 15:00)
Train 2: Starts on same path but at 15:20 (20mins ahead of the first train) but has its speed fixed at 266km/ph despite passing by a clear signal+ a 320kmph speed limit marker
Also both trains stop at the same stations ( two of which are at the very beggining and very end)
Tried and tested
Both eng files maxvelocity is 320kmph. So they can operate at that speed when allowed
Increasing the time gap between both trains did not make a difference (second train was still at 266kmph in a 320kmph zone)
Created a new path 5 signals before Train 1 then overlapping the original path for Train 1 to run on. (train 2 still maxed at 266)
Started Train 2 on a different track then merged with Train 1 path(this train still started 20 minutes later than Train 1 despite being on a different track) And yes the path taken after train 2 departed overlapped train 1's path once it left the station.
Problem persists in both openrails and msts.
I always thought giving trains at least a 15+min time gap despite running on the same path would be enough to allow the train to operate normally. But for some reason the train behind always gets a weird handicap.
EDIT: (tested this with 2 extra traffic pieces and got the same result). For some reason the first piece of traffic does fine but after that they get a speed handicap.
EDIT: Will be remaking activity in Open Rails.
