Agree that OpenGL is installed. . . .
Do you have another machine to try this? If you do all you need do is copy over the folders to another system.
I'm going to post a link to this thread to see if Goku has any ideas.

I do; in fact I tried copying it over to my XP machine, and that didn't work at all, said it wasn't a valid 32-bit application.

I have another W7 machine (actual PC with much better graphics than this laptop - why I use the laptop and not the PC is a long story); I'll try copying things over there and see what happens.

There is a 32 bit version available here at the TSRE d/l location. I posted a help request to Goku.
I'd suggest we wait for his response.

OK, works fine on my W7 PC:

Processor: I5-2400 [email protected] 3.1 Ghz
    8 Gb RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series video
    Windows 7 64-bit SP 1

I'll pull up a keyboard commands chart and give it a whorl...

Thanks for all your time and effort in getting this figured out.

Wow!! Okay . . . .you nailed it.
For practice it would help you greatly to construct a small 1 - 3 tile route to practice the new commands you'll need to learn.
A printed copy of the manual would allow you to reference while using the editor.
Stick to the Route Editor at first. I know nothing about the included Activity editor.

And when you take a break from editing there are two 'real' activities included with the LIRR both based on real jobs on the line.

The freight pickups is easy and takes about an hour while the LILCO Coal is hard and takes about 3 hours.
The cherry geep in the activity has a rear light cone, a great help in the Long Island City car float yard at 4 am.
Enjoy! I am glad to help.

    Hi Jeff,
    Goku responded here: https://www.trainsim.com/vbts/showth...76#post1929276
Says your laptop only supports OpenGL 2.0 but TSRE requires OpenGL 3.0
