Thread: BLW Beta Test Sampler - CPR Freight Pack

  1. #1

Default BLW Beta Test Sampler - CPR Freight Pack

A few teaser shots follow, all taken using locos from the BLW Canadian Pacific Freight set, now in beta testing. This new pack includes CPR equipment from the 'pre-multimark' era, with the locomotives wearing the classy maroon & gray paint scheme. The first set of shots follow an EMD SW8 shuffling cars as part of some daily yard work, with the second batch showcasing a GP30/GP35 lashup hauling a mixed freight. The final batch features some GP9-led local freight activity. Additional shots may be appended to the thread as testing of the new work-in-progress BLW pack proceeds.

Locos: BLW CPR Freight Pack ... Consists: BLW/ZT (various sets) ... Routes: Northwest Line v6 + CN Blackfoot v3 + MacTier (all gently modified)

Default Some C424s join the party...

A pair of MLW (Alco) C424s from the new BLW beta test Canadian Pacific 'maroon & gray' pack lead a short freight at an undocumented location, with the units putting on a fine (if somewhat customary) Alco 'smoke show' as the engineer notches out the throttle. Rolling stock and route credits as noted above.

I've yet to regret any of my BLW purchases... this looks like a nice set.

Default RS3s are added to the set

An RS3 (with doors open in the summer heat) shepherds a CPR local freight. Rolling stock and route credits as noted above.

Cheers, R. Steele [Gerry] It's my railroad and I'll do what I want! Historically accurate attitude of US Railroad Barons.

Default Alco S2's have arrived ...

More Alco action as a veteran S2 switcher works an unidentified siding/yard area. Rolling stock and route credits as as noted above.

Default The MLW (Alco) RS18 joins the pack ...

The RS18s looked particularly good in maroon & gray. Rolling stock and route credits as indicated above.
