    Default NS AC44C6M 4000 - 4005 repaints

    Greetings everyone!

I would like to share with you the project I am currently working on - NS AC44C6M repaints.

Since there is no proper 3D model of these engines, I am using a model of SLI's AC4400 engine as the base for this repaint. The ".s" file of this engine is now available for free in the Trainsim library, so you won't have to buy anything to run these engines.

AC44C6Ms are something I've been wanting to have in my fleet ever since the first one was released into service. Unfortunately, I have no 3D modelling skills, so I cannot create a proper model for it. However, since these locomotives closely resemble the AC4400 model, I think these repaints are more than good to be used in the simulator.

I will release three separate sets:

No. 4000 and 4001 with blue and yellow Sonic bonnet.

No. 4002 and 4003 with black and dark red Sonic bonnet

No. 4004 and 4005 with black and blue Sonic bonnet

Here are some WIP screenshots. I hope you like it:

A welcome addition, for sure. I've never seen any in this scheme, but I have seen some others running around in the usual black/white scheme

The .s file used for this model is contained within Danny Beck's UP FILES SET available in the library.

I want to thank you for doing those. My son designed that paint scheme, and I am really looking forward to seeing and running them.

That's an interesting "fun fact", Dave Congrats to him for being so imaginative.

Borislav, in a time where not much is coming out of the creative lab for North American content, this is a very welcome addition. Thank you for taking this on....and doing such a fine job with it

Thanks from me too, for doing this. It'll be even nicer now since 4000 was wrecked and will probably be scrapped (if it hasn't already).

I would also like to thank you for doing these numbers from NS. A welcomed addition to Trainsim.
