    Default BNSF Racetrack update

    Hey guys,

Here is a quick update on how work is progressing on the BNSF "Racetrack" The mainline has made it to Montgomery, IL where the line splits with part of it heading southwest towards Galesburg & Denver, and the other line heads west & North to the twin Cities. The mainline for the Metra portion is completely done, along with both the Metra & Amtrak yards in downtown Chicago, BOTH ends of Chicago Union Station, LaSalle Street Station, the 16th street junction, where Metra's Rock Island Line crosses the St Charles Air Line, 21st St Junction (sadly only a shadow of its former layout), Ogilvie Transportation Center, Tower A2, and MOST of Cicero Clyde Yard has been completed. Work is starting on Eola Yard, Metra's Aurora Yard, and when those two few points are done, the entire BNSF Racetrack, from Chicago Union Station to the Aurora Transportation Center will be done. Some scenery is currently in place with the heaviest scenery being downtown Chicago.

Overview of the Route.. Doesn't look like much at the moment from the track view

    Great to hear, Josh!
Are you planning on having any track from the CN Leithton Sub running south into Eola - enough to run AI trains in or out of the yard? Hell, I'll pay ya to run up to Spaulding Then, I'll double pay ya to run some track down the IR

Might take you up on that offer!! Just kidding.. in all seriousness, I truly want to include as much of Chicagoland as possible with the ends of the Metra lines being the boundaries for the most part..

Another update guys.. The Aurora Transportation Center is done trackwise including the Metra coach yard.. Scenery & Terrain is being worked on currently, then I will turn back east, doing scenery and finishing up yards & industries as I go.
