    Question Updated steel making cars

Just curious has anyone made a set or is planning a set of steel making cars modeled to current standards? With routes like the prr eastern and Buffalo out I’m sure they would see some good use

Questions like this probably should include a picture of what you are specifically referring to, as it does sound like an "ITEMS WANTED" request.

I think he's referring to the hot metal "submarine" cars as they're referred to, and the slag tipper cars.

These two are just representative of the many types of slag tipper and hot metal cars.

See them on the "bottle train" all the time on the NS here, into Riverdale
It would be cool to have new ones made.

Look near the top..see the glowing orange? hooooooooot stuuuuuuuuf! (no, not the Stones song, the molten metal )
Believe me, you feel it when standing this close too.

Yes, slag and bottle cars are what I was referring to, to be more specific the double ladle slag cars used by Bethlehem steel at the Bethlehem plant. I can try to find a picture to upload

Better to post the link to the photo. Posting copyrighted images isn't a good idea.
