    Default Bush 41 Funeral Train

Union Pacific dispatched UP Heritage unit 1943 with 19 passenger cars in tow screaming across Nebraska with priority over all other traffic.

UP Heritage Diesel 4141 was dispatched to Houston Texas and will be the lead locomotive and then de-engine'ed and put on permanent display at the Bush library and museum.

I think this will be the first presidential funeral train in a couple decades.

Union Pacific is a class act. Can't say enough about what UP does.

Seems that 1943 was absent from the consist with the casket. Was there a second section?

The video on the "Trains" website showed a first section all Armour Yellow then the main consist lead by 4141. And Yes 1943 was not in either consist.

I've been looking into the matter but coming up short on answers. Maybe 1943 had issues?

Not sure if anyone was watching the live feed yesterday? 4141 hit a doggy that ran out from a crowd of people. They broke away from the live train cam feed at that point on Fox News Live.

Kudos to UP for having this plan in place and being able to execute it so flawlessly.

1943 was held as a backup engine for the 4141. See second to last post on page 4. http://www.rypn.org/forums/viewtopic...ccbcb&start=45
