Have seen elsewhere £60 (for FS2020) so seems a moveable feast. In the meantime I decided to try X-Plane 11. At least it is 64 bit and untouched by DTG, so that's got to be a bonus!

    No killing involved though Vern.

Graphics look nice though, did you go for the free demo buddy ?

Plunged straight in. It was £36 minus a £5 voucher, so fairly reasonable. Intend to have a look later - missus has had me doing chores all afternoon!

    You little plunger you, Vern.

Enjoy Vern, but do as your good lady wife, says first.

Yes it is very good, (X Plane) definitely a keeper though a steep learning curve.

I finally scraped together the cash for the DE6 licence. Haven't driven it yet, was on a good roll with the steamer but I think that may have come to an end - the final ascent to the Sawmill with about 20 log cars attached almost killed it. Whoever designed the map is a proper twerp, you have a tight 30kph bend to ensure you have NO momentum to try and help you up. Absolutely ground my way in and managed to drop all but four of my loads off in their sidings before having to bring out the shunter to drag the last rake (and the dead steamer) into place.

I'll say this much: playing Diesel Railcar after Derail Valley is quite a jolt... suddenly you have these long, flat, smooth rails that you can absolutely open her up on and fly along as fast as you like for as long as you like!

Another £15+ wasted on a less than stellar game.
