Default NALW Bogboys/Challengers in Open Rails

    Hello!,

Has anyone worked out some way to run NALW's Bigboy's and Challengers in open rails? I keep running into an invalid tender setup issue where the leading engine wont connect to a tender in the consist and runs out of water and fails part of the way into any activity. I was trying to recreate 4014's consist on the DRGW green river as a fictitious run to Denver via the Moffat line.

    Hi
    ldavidson1,
Having checked a couple of Big Boys in Open Rails, I can't see any problem.
    Please give more details :
    - which Big Boy download/s are you using? Please give file name/s.
    - are you using a supplied consist, or creating your own? If the latter, notice that there are two parts to the loco.
    - which utility are you using to create a consist?
    - regarding 'invalid tender setup', exactly what message is given and by which program? If a loco can't be coupled to a tender, then it will, eventually, run out of coal and water!

    Cheers,
    Ged

Sorry for the Delayed response! I am using a custom consist and I did check that the problem is universal to all Bigboys and Challengers in the NALW pack. I have both updates installed that are located here in the library and the original pack came from the library. I've included a screenshot of the opening message for the Sim. I'm using TSRE5 as my consist editor.

Please post the first 30 lines of the consist you are using.

I'd suggest uninstalling all of the NALW pack and reinstalling clean copies of the locomotives from NALW. The only two updates worth installing are those by Jan van der Reijden. Some of the other updates in the file library cause problems even in MSTS.

I am working on a complete overhaul of the NALW original locos. I hope to get an update out in a couple weeks. Due to other commitments getting in the way as of right now unfortunately work is slow.

Check to see if somehow the tender got renamed from tender to freight in the wag file?
