First: Please stop shouting. We can hear fine.
Second: As to your question, the background colors are defined by these lines in the Settings.txt file in the TSRE5 folder.
colorConView = #aaaa99
colorShapeView = #aaaa99
You can change the color during a TSRE-CE session but there is no save feature that I have found. You can however edit those lines in the settings.txt file with any text editor. And they remain the same unless you change them or the settings.txt file gets overwritten which happens when a new version is released, downloaded and installed.
I keep a copy of my edited settings.txt file to restore my edits when I install a new version of TSRE.

Seems odd to have the ability to change the color within the app when the only place to set it permanently for everytime use is in the settings.txt (2 disjointed functions). Something seems a little backwards to me.
I haven't been able to get the shape viewer, in the route editor, background color to change with changes to the settings.txt.
Is this even an option?
When I work in the route editor I stretch the window across two monitors. I fill the left monitor with the properties and the main view and pull the tools, navi window and shapes view over to the right one. Would be nice if TSRE remembered this.

One other issue with shape viewer -
I always associated the S file on my computer with Sview.exe (the old shape viewer) so when in file manager I could click on the shape file and it would open shape viewer. When I do that with the new version, the new shape viewer opens but it also downloads tsre_appdata and tsre_assets folders, log and settings txt files, and ConsistEditor and ShapeViewer bat files inside every trainset sub-folder that contains the S files I am clicking on. Why do those files populate all over the place depending upon the folder that contains the S file I want to open and examine?
In summary, the new product works, but the process in not very clean and tidy. Too much residue left behind that needs chronic cleaning up.
???? What "New" Shape Viewer? Are you referring to shapefileviewer25.zip> That is just ver 2.2 of sview packaged in a ZIP with a track base instead of an installer that registers the DLL files.
Charles
Drill down into any trainset subfolder, no TRSE files, but the S file is associated with TSRE 0.69752
Click on the S file and shape viewer opens with the chosen car, but it populates TRSE folders and files in whatever subfolder you are clicking the S file in. Also note the upper left pane shows no additional S files when there are plenty in that folder
If I open the shape viewer via the desktop icon and choose the trainset subfolder, the upper left pane is populated with all the other S files available

Do you understand my question?
