I had the same question if it was possible to combine track sections with and without wires...

In the while..what I am doing is creating wires for my own catenaries.. if you send me the catenaries shape you are using I could create a copy of my wire design & addapted to yours...

There is a bunch of catenary wire shapes in Catmaster. There are also these tutorials on the steam4me site.

Catmaster has wires for most track sections, but not all of them. The instructions for Catmaster describe how to add your wire shapes to the list so that they will install with Catmaster, or if you think you only need a couple of new sections you can simply install them like regular scenery objects and place them with the alignment utility.

Catmaster allows you to select which track sections you want to have wires over, so it's easy to have just a few miles, or certain sections, with wires while the rest of the route does not.

I make wire shapes with TSM, having set up a template shape to use when I need an odd length of wire for a track section that doesn't already have a wire. The initial setup requires a little work to get things to match up just right in terms of correct size, but after that it's pretty simple to create a new wire when needed.

    Looks good Rick.

Maybe if your adventurous? You could try adding Ron Picardi's wires to the top of the towers. DC feeder cables for the trolley wire.
