I have just bought the vanilla ATS on sale (on Steam, of course) just to see what you ratbags are raving about.

Welcome to the club, Bruce! Hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised and entertained. At the moment my ATS is pretty much vanilla, just the various DLC which increases the available area.

Care full Bruce! - ATS today will probably lead you to buying the DLC packs and then from there to buying ETS2 next and so on. While your absorbed in these great sims you will still try to squeeze in some time with RUN8 and before you know it you will have no social life - you have been warned!

    Cheers

Welcome to the club Bruce. May I suggest your install the old Kenworth K100 that's prevalent in Australia, even if the maps are American you can drive something Ozzy, you can get it from here - https://atsmod.net/american-truck-si...e-v1-0-1-36-x/

Just watch out for any silly adware pop ups.

    Cheerz. Steve.

Don't want to interfere but there is a K200 as well, which is Auzzie, Steve.

    Yikes !!!!

This happened just in front of me at 70mph.

I just managed to brake and go around the white car and onto the hard shoulder.

    Thanks for the link, Steve.
I did visit that site and did follow through to where I clicked on a download button, at which point my anti-malware system went berserk, klaxons sounded, lights flashed and a warning appeared advising of imminent catastrophe if I continued!!
Maybe because of all those porn pop-ups!

    So I declined.

However, I have tried the game.
Impressed with the raft of setting-up tweaks which can be chosen for graphics, audio, controller, button allocations etc. very comprehensive.
Also the F1 through F12 functions in-game. Again, very comprehensive.

However, the game-play doesn't really grab me as I have never been a follower or fan of trucks; in fact, I consider them to be right pain in the posterior when out on the road. (B-Doubles and caravans are a motorist's worst nightmare, IMO).

I'll occasionally dabble, I suppose, but can't see myself becoming as deeply involved as I have been with trains over the past couple of decades.

And I have also become totally immersed in another game since June, so even my trains are getting dust on them!
