With a first class membership I can download in less than one hour, no need for a pause. My problem is with the sound sources which no longer appear in the OR manual link. Another Trainsim site states that the sounds are no longer available at that link.

That is strange, because others on this thread report success, and even I downloaded the sound bundle just now.

Are you sure you are using the correct (dated) manual?

I wanted to address this separately.

Four nights ago, and again tonite, I took some screen grabs of the enrollment numbers for this website. In 4 days, 260 new user accounts were created. There actually were more, but some of those where nabbed and deleted already.

on 8/20, there were 200,900 and on 8/24 there were 201,160. That averages 65 new user accounts per day.

Now do the math on 6,900 active accounts out of 201,200. That is 3.4% of all the registered accounts are active.

Here are some samples of the new accounts created in the past 4 days. The links are for the user profile pages here and if you hit the "about me" tab on all of them, notice how there are hyperlinks in the signature or website lines. Notice how a couple of them reference the same bakedcat dot org website

I'm sorry, but the fake account enrollment fire here is out of control. Phishing is most certainly on the menu. If we apply that same 3.4% to the 65 accounts created per day, that means 2 new users (1.9) are genuine and 63 are fake. These are the statistics that should be flashing red for anybody in possession of a credit card.

Nobody, and I mean nobody, believes 201,200 legitimate users have enrolled here.

My download of 2.5 GB with this route of fantasii V2 was done at 2:19 P.M. today after started yesterday at 1:53 P.M. I left my desktop running all night till this afternoon to complete the download. Wow -- it's a big file.

My theory about all these members. A secure way to exchange clandestine messages. Sign up on obscure forum. Exchange messages via PMs. Note second member in list above. I looked at Profile. Viewed by me and one other. BUT had been viewed 22 times. The other viewer clicked on his profile 21 times and sent a PM.

Next to last in list. 4 viewers - one is same as other second in list I mention in para above. Other 2 are ligit members. 347 visits. 340+PMs

I don't know if it is ethical or not, but can these PM's be intercepted?

I doubt it. I had no way of doing such a thing when I was an Admin on the ConBuilder Support Forum.

Also note from those screen grabs, there were 16 new threads over the course of 4 days (avg 4 new threads per day). I sure hope they have the computing power to handle 260 new users who are in a rush to comment on those 16 new threads.

Personally, I think something else is going on to help keep the lights on.

I guess if politicians can overstate the legitimate size of the crowds to overstate their importance, then a 19 year old software application probably could do the same to overstate it's grandfathered importance.

    Hi, thanks for reply.

This isn't available to me as I am using the latest Open Rails version and the page Number mentioned above only has Two lines of text which do not match the above.

    Thanks

    Paul.

    Paul,

What is the date on the cover sheet of your Open Rails manual?
