Hi Folks,

We don’t have a dedicated video forum so I’m posting here - also a bit of a request - we have a great many talented screenshot artists who take absolutely stunning shots and post here - the problem with just screenshots - is they are only posted here to an already captive audience...

ORTS needs people and to recruit talent in order to continue development efforts - so along that vein - we have this absolutely fantastic vehicle to get the word out to a much larger global audience - YouTube - to people who might not be aware of the current state of train simulations... A good video might spark interest...

I believe this is the best medium we could use to achieve our goals...

I’m a complete newb at making videos - but if anyone is interested and wants to take a stab at it - I’ll gladly share what little I know - it’s not really hard after a little familiarization...

Scott is right on! If we post some of these screenshots on facebook or railfan forums we'll be recruiting new blood. For relatively little effort. This is important.

Yep - you guys have the idea - we need to get better at getting the word out showcasing the advantages ORTS offers over some of the other sims... I don't do FB so I'm not much help with that aspect...


Hi Folks,

Anyone interested in trying to make a video - I found this Free (for non commercial projects) video editor that's pretty easy to use... I record with the NVidia app - then process the video with "Video Pad" - you can publish directly to YouTube from within the app - it seems to work quite well...

Well I hope something like that helps, I don't do an social media myself. JMHO but us old guys who create, modify etc that actually takes time and effort are a dying breed. The younger generation just want plug and play from what I have experienced.
