Goldwave Alternative?

Hey guys, so had to re install a few things and I apparently need to re-buy Goldwave for my sound editing; however with the license cost being $45 now it's a bit on the ridiculous side to where that's not do-able for the foreseeable future.

Have we gotten any free software yet that can do sound looping for MSTS/OR? Last I saw, Audacity still doesn't support cue points for whatever reason.

I downloaded an older, free, version off of OldApps.
I'm not at home or I'd tell you which one.
