Thanks - I animate at sixteen frames so each and every part needs to be placed in sixteen precise positions to complete one revolution... There's a great deal of alignment work to get all the rods to line up in their proper positions... It takes some time to build and animate a set of running gear properly...

Hi Bob,
Thanks - it's not so hard - the Reverser is basically your gear shift - start full on pulling back as you get moving - and the Regulator is your throttle... I recall reading something where real steam locomotives usually ran with the Regulator wide open as much as possible using the Reverser to control speed...
