Thread: Customizing Raildriver

    Default Customizing Raildriver

Has anyone created a file that customizes the programable buttons of the raildriver for Open Rails? Or, is there a way to customize those buttons?

I have seen references to doing this but I cannot seem to fins out how to do it.

    Thanks,
    Basil

The feature is not available in the Testing and Unstable versions of OR.
It is instead however available in the OR NewYear MG version (downloadable from here http://www.interazioni-educative.it/...NewYear_MG.zip ) and in the Ultimate version. In both versions you have a Raildriver options page within the menu where you can configure the buttons (and also calibrate the Raildriver).

When will all these various versions be combined?

The current Open Rails development roadmap has RailDriver button remapping as part of the 1.x development path. We're on version 1.3 now; 1.4 is yet to be released and does not yet have the newer RailDriver support listed to be included. Yet. Since these things take time and are subject to change, there's no definite answer.

It will come, but the timeline depends on testing and debugging as elements of the various experimental branches are integrated together into the main branch.
