Thread: Matching Crossovers and Junctions

    Default Matching Crossovers and Junctions

Finally started working on a proper secaucus junction for the prr. Was wondering if anyone can lead me to a track guide for how to find the right pieces for crossovers and complex junctions( aka which frogpoint goes with the proper end point).

What track system are you using?

As far as Xtracks goes, they're mostly matched by name (i.e. anything with 4_7d is intendd to be matched up with the 4_7d switch), but I think the 3d and 6d stuff gets a little tricky because there are a couple variants. I would make a one-tile test route to experiment before getting too involved in a real route

Xtracks with the 3.21 update plus some Scale Rail for good measure. I'll give it a go tonight and pay a bit more attention to the numbering/lettering system.

See what the home of xtrack has to say: Track laying and Track laying 2.
    But last Version is 2006-10-14.

The xtracks track laying guide provides some, but not all the possible combinations. Of which there are many. To date I have never seen these documented anywhere and simply stick to those in the guide or manually adjust and fit when requiring something more complex
