    Default BNSFs Staples Sub.

Since there is no route close to this location, I am using a modified version of parts of the Birmingham route. The contemporary Staples subdivision is a haven for classic EMDs like SD40-2s, SD60Ms, SD75I rebuilds plus a GOOD sampling of rebuilt four motor Geeps!

As someone who lives in the area, there really is a lot of classic power running around, and not all of it is BNSF, either. The only catch is that you have to wade through a sea of gevos to get to the good stuff.

A coupe of realism notes, if you're interested:

Almost the whole line parallels US-10. In most shots, you can see it - certainly almost all of mine

There may or may not be more than a couple miles of single track in Little Falls where the line crosses the river. I'm not sure if they put in the second main between LF and Philbrook yet, but everything else is doubled now.

Someday I'd like to tackle that line...I've got track charts and everything...

Saw an SD40-2 #1742 (H3) on a westbound that was stopped over 14 city blocks in Little Falls (MP 105 to 107). They were busy picking up and dropping off ex-Clinchfield and ex-BNSF (now WDPX) hoppers on the west end of the Little Falls Yard Spur.
