    Default Winter on Rogers Pass

    Its been awhile!

Working on some activities I hope to release as a pack at some point. First train on the docket was a 3-302, empty grain train from Vancouver, BC to Sutherland, SK. The first photo was preparing to leave Revelstoke.

    Exiting Connaught Tunnel

Stoney Creek Trestle, the sun burns off some low hanging cloud cover.

Had to wait on this westbound stack train at Hill

Into Field after about a 5 hour trip. Not bad at all!

More to come for sure. Enjoy!

This is one of those routes that just seems to look more at home in winter. Nice stuff

Everett, the heavy potash sounds like something I'd be interested in. Is there an associated activity with consists in the library, or is it something you put together?

    Gerry,

The 603 is a part of a pack I'm putting together. Still have a couple more activities to run through, but I'm hoping to have them all up in the file library within the next few weeks.

The run back was an eventful one with this Bensenville to Vancouver stack train, 199.

The driving snow created a visibility hazard, in addition to extremely slick rails. This plow job was out doing its best to keep the railroad open.

Still coming down hard near Beavermouth.

Luckily things calmed down as we crossed to the western side of the Selkirks.

There is something magical about an overcast winter day, especially on Rogers Pass. This is at Ross Peak.

Look forward to see this activity available for download. Good to see another Canadian activity to run in Open Rails.

Up next, we have eastbound intermodal 112 departing Revelstoke.

Approaching the summit near Ross Peak.

Coming down the mountain between Stoney Creek and Fraine

Along the Columbia River near Beavermouth.

199 held at Donald for us to go east.
