    Default speed control option - what is it?

    hi! i was looking in the open rails manual but it doesnt have anything about this option in the options menu - wht does "speed control" do?

    Speed control is part of the TCS ( Train Control System ) , but this has not yet been fully programmed. Follow the various references to TCS in the manual.

    You might want to try 'autopilot'

    look derek clearly you dont like me asking questions here so i will stop doing that then, - if you are going to throw snide remarks at me even when i am asking i think a fairly reasonable question - i looked in the manual but clearly the manual is not current to the latest version of OR as it is missing alot of information on what some of the settings are.

    Autopilot in OR is a user option where you allow the train to run automatically without touching the controls. This will run the train at or very close to track speed at all times. Not a pretty thing to watch though.
