    Default Class 52 Western

Was thinking about getting this. Reviews on Steam seem positive (haven't checked Alan Thomson yet), but well you know my scepticism!

Really looking for confirmation the sounds are okay and the physics at least half decent.

I never bothered to obtain it personally, Vern, as it was initially for the West Somerset Route, but, at 25 mph plodalong it didn't seem worth getting, however, now that the Czech Gentleman has done some tweaking with the locomotives in the game it might be possible to drive it on other English routes now at its desired speed.

    Cheerz. Steve.

Well I bought it anyway Steve and it is very good. The 25 MPH plod is a PITA but I still needed 50% throttle or thereabouts to maintain 25 MPH on the climb out of Lydeard. The horn is a wee bit tinny but otherwise I like the sound and the cab is superb. So one DTG purchase I won't be refunding!

I forget the sim that was around 20 years ago that had video. You basically ran the train as if controlling a VCR (the thing before DVR) control. Today we have YouTube where you can pause and even adjust the speed. Tempting?

    Thanks
