Friends,
While checking the Virginian route that I am working on, a obscure error showed up
that I cannot find and which will make the route ORTS only because activities running
on ORTS seem to have no issue, nor does TSRE.
But another issue appeared.
My test train is 20 or so of the Virginian "Battleship" gondolas and a Virginian caboose
which are in the library, have been for several years. Initially, my motive power was
two Virginian electrics, based on a PRR design, also in the library.
Okay, Pantograph up, brakes on train & engine released, reverse forward, open
throttle. Immediately current red-lines wheels on engines are turning, train does not
move. The only thing I could think of was, maybe the engine. So, substituted a
N&W "J" and not only does this happen, but the engine drivers disappear. So I
changed the activity in total to one that has 8 or so passenger cars, and the "J"
all of which have been around for several years and it works fine.
So my guess is that the brakes are not releasing on the gondolas or the caboose,
and since this is a small consist compared to what would be reasonable, once the
route is released, I would ask if someone familiar with rolling stock could look into
it.
And yes, the activities work correctly in MSTS.
