    Default CORP motive power

    Hello everyone,

Following the reopening of the Siskiyou web site, I have taken the time trying to create some motive power for the Central Oregon & Pacific Railroad (CORP)

From the SLI BN2105 GP38-2 shape file (available in Danny Beck's 300+MB file available in the F/L) and from a locomotive I have created some years ago (GEXR 3835) for the Mophouse web site, I have made three CORP GP38-2's and currently working on a CORP SD40T-2. Unable to find a blank set for a SD40T-2, I have used a blank SD45T-2 file ( available here in the F/L) using MLT's SP Heritage pack 1 (based on SP SD45T-2 9347).

I still have some work ahead trying to refine as best as possible the engine (CORP 4074). This is what it looks like so far in Shape Viewer

Compare with the actual engine by clicking the link below

Here are the three finished GP38-2's (they are not meant to be exact replicas of the real engines in every way but they are close)

Here's the problem: although CORP 4074 shows in Shape Viewer, It is invisible while doing a test run on Open Rails and it doesn't show either whilt using the TSRE consist editor.

Any ideas for the reason of this issue?

    Thanks

    Denis

    Hi Denis,
Most likely cause is the .eng file doesn't correctly point to the shape file.
In the old days this would have just crashed MSTS

I second what Christopher said. Check the shape name in the eng file.

    Hi Chris and Frank,

Found the issue. Have marked 'CORP 4074' instead of 'CORP_4074'. Omitting the underline caused the issue. Have changed everything and everything works OK now as it shows here in OR

BTW I have started to work on a slug for the CORP and goes well so far.

    Thanks again gents.
