where does this tracksound come from?

As said above, that is the base track sound that is heard on all routes. The style will depend on which sound set is used. That in the video is the MSTS default USATrack0Ex.sms. The sounds played are defined within the sms file. The sms and associated wav files are located in the main Sound folder.

I thought that was the sound for those really quiet track sounds that fit for interiors

There is an external and an internal sms for each tracksound. Ex is External, In is Internal.

If I didn't know any better those track sounds are either from NALW or 3DTS
