All of the NJT F units had the top headlight plated over. I think they came from C&NW like that. A couple of ex C&NW units on Metra also had the same configuration.

The units without nose bells are believed to be post NJT days. Some units lost those parts in preservation for one reason or another.

I believe all of the F7 units had their nose bells when they came to NJT. I could be wrong though.

Does anyone have a clear picture of the NJT F7 nose Logo?

This is the only image I can find of a still shot. There is some footage on youtube. But those are moving images of a train at 60mph.

Actually, I've been working on downtown Chicago to Madison, WI for the better part of 10 years... Track's been done for a while, but finding time to do 30 miles of urban scenery takes time. Didn't help that I also added Chicago to Rochelle about five years ago.

    Pete Willard,

Do you enjoy making fonts? Because you whip up some nice fonts really fast. Great work.

It's like playing an instrument and you do what you call "practice"... I practice all the time... and with it comes the ability to whip stuff up fast...(maybe not with accuracy).

It also helps to try looking stuff up... Like: http://tmsearch.uspto.gov/bin/showfi...805:ay92ao.2.1
