  1. #1

Thumbs up Fabricated Rail USA Trainz UTC?

I'm trying to figure out what Fabricated Rail is in Trainz UTC?

    Thanks!

Never heard of it and UTC is so old, doubt it would work on my PC. There is a built in asset called 1 Track Fabricated still kicking about in TRS2019, possibly a reference to being welded rail but there is no other description on the item to elaborate further.

    Thanks, NorthernWarrior!c

That's exactly what I thought! It's amazing how many assets get used in the newer versions! Visually, I see very little difference between Trainz UTC (1.5) and Trainz 2019!

Can't see much difference between UTS and TRS19?!~!

You really do need to go to Specsavers:

Trainz Ultimate Collection, Trainz version 1.5 with Paint Shed included!
The Auran website said it was a two-disk set, but there was only one!

    Thanks!

It was released way back in 2002. It's very primitive. In fact, it has non-rotating wheels on some locomotives. Most of us moved on a decade or more ago.

...no steam physics, no working industries, a older lighting system, no easy creation of sessions, no scripted locomotives, and a whole lot of really great content doesn't work with it.

I can see a big leap between the Ultimate Trainz Collection engine and TANE, because I have both installed.

As to the two disk problem, the version I have came on two disks, bought direct from Auran/N3V, and I still have to this day. One had paintshed, and the other one had the main program.

Don't know if a one-disk version was released.

TRS19 or at a minimum TANE is the way to go. With the right post processing set up, TRS19 can be made to look quite lifelike unlike the very cartoony appearance of earlier versions, certainly up to TS12.

To me even at low graphics setting 19 was way better than 2010 but I could be wrong

Didn't last long at 2010. I believe I had an older computer than I do now, perhaps causing issues.

    Thanks
