Getting ready to build a new system, likely with twin 27 inch monitors that will run off a RTX 2080. Saw yourcomment on having to reduce desktop resolution for MSTS to not crash. What is the maximum resolution for MSTS? And what’s your recommendation for ORTS?

OR will run at whatever resolution your monitor will handle.
I haven't ran MSTS in years but I think it's capped out at 1280x768.

    Hi,
The maximum resolution that MSTS can handle is 1600x1200

Currently, I have mine running at 1280x1024 (on a 1920x1080 monitor)

    Cheers,

There's a binary patch for MSTS to work with widescreen monitors in the file library.

Thank you. I’ll try the MSTS Widescreen patch on my current system.

My screen is by far the oldest part of my system, the same Samsung 23" LED LCD screen that I bought in... 2011? I think? I've been thinking of getting a new one but nothing has really jumped out at me. I've never really been a fan of large screens anyway. 1080p gaming at a proper framerate is also a lot easier to do without breaking the bank.
