Too bad it works really good with Google Earth here are my settings as promised.

Crop on outside of Red Line to try and get half to overlap??

    720x720 M2 for Trainz grid

    1902x1902 pixels in Paint??

Basemaps recommended settings WRONG in the popular tutorial online shown below
    1:32 72'11.75" x 72'5"

    Baseamps actual setting should be
    G Scale 1:22.5 104' 11.75" x 104' 11.75

GE Eye Altitude 247m for precision
GE Eye Altitude 1.76Kms at HD to allow for perfect crop

Keep in mind Google Earth is where the real issue comes into play especially near rivers and hills. The measurement tool otherwise will work straight. I'll be doing another basemap possibly this week. Look for a video that will mention Southern Yard, Welded Pipe. You can also do a search "Sean Murrell basemapz" as I know I did it in the past. The last one I did was the Fort Erie industrial area which was only 1 tile.

But if it's not for you I totally understand as it's not perfect.

    Thanks

    Sean

Thanks again Sean, always good to have the info on the forum.

In case i change my mind and of course for other members.

My other problem is, GE is modern era locations and my route is 1960's era.

    Much appreciated buddy.

Yeah sometimes you can get lucky and get a historical image in Google Earth. For me I'm only stuck with 1932 or 2000+ unfortunately.

Not sure when I'll get around to doing more tiles as I forgot I have a staging area on the tile next to the one I was thinking about.

The other one is probably not worth it.

Eventually I'll get around to expanding away from the mainlines a couple more boards. I'll keep you in mind.

    Thanks

    Sean

Where i live Sean, GE gives a 2016 and 2005 option for years available.

They are also lower res images, than say London and the South East of England.

Good luck with your route building and enjoy buddy.
