    Angry Oh Dear Oh Dear

    Payware DLC shunting\switching session.

Uses a freeware BR Class 08 shunter.

With US loco sounds and no idea what the cab interior is from.

N3V, the pinnacle of excellence in the pc gaming world.

Very sad really, Trainz could be so good but this aliasing to unsuitable and often ancient cabs and sounds really doesn't help. It's funny, but after driving the excellent (for DTG) Class 09 shunter in TSW I went looking to see what was available in Trainz, thinking a nice shunting layout (inspired by Derail Valley) would be fun to work on. However pretty much your experience Mike, default Alco sounds and not the cab you are showing but something that looked nothing like a UK shunter interior. Inspiration drained away...

Classic Trainz experience, Vern. If you recall, everything early on was using the Class 37 or Alco FPA cab as that's all there was (well, and the HST). When they came out with the Red Hen railcar it was a boon to modellers who finally had a multiple unit cab to apply to their creations.

They certainly wring the mileage out of their assets. If you fire up the Trainz Driver 2 app on your phone, it's like going back in time to TRS2004, with the same warmed-over model railway-style maps and weird consists (GP-38 pulling some freight cars, CP Alco pulling some BNSF stainless steel cars) that we got back in 2001 in Trainz CE... unless you feel like paying several dollars for a new map and several more per scenario to have something to do other than free roam.

That Red Hen cab still pops up in some British EMU's and the Class 47 cab appears in all sorts of Swiss and Italian locos - complete with very British AWS sunflower display!

The cab shown up above is for a EMD SW1500, and it's perfect for SW1500s. However, it replaces a cab meant for earlier EMD Switchers, which causes problems.

All hail the Class 08's refitted with SW1500 cabs.

I must have missed that when i was on the railway.

Anyway TRS19 is once again deleted.

Nothing like the folly of old age. That keeps making me, revisit mediocrity over and over.

    Default Could you please help?

Despite the shortcomings, this may have other uses.

Would/could you indicate exactly what Trainz payware DLC this is?

Thank you for your effort and patience,
    Steve
