    Mike.
I have a friend - my physio, actually - whose husband owns and drives a B-Double between Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
He has done the occasional trip east-west - to Adelaide and Perth.
Programs such as "Outback Truckers" make him cringe with embarrassment.
As he puts it, that show is to Aussie truckers as "Crocodile Dundee" is to Northern Territorians.

Yes Bruce but it's fun, or don't you boys down under.

Get the meaning of fun. I don't watch it and think that all Australian trucking is like that, buddy.

It's not as bad as Ice Road Truckers. With it's fake "will we go through the ice". When you know very well the series wouldn't go out. With people dying under the ice every week.

Hahahahahahaa, i cannot stand the sight of any of those people, Bruce.

Chips Rafferty is more my kind of Australian star. Overlanders, The Sundowners, Forty Thousand Horsemen and The Rats Of Tobruk. Are more my kind of film and entertainment.

In that case, Mike, here's a true anecdote for you, from my early years in the elevator (lift) industry.

    Bruce meets Chips
