    Default Tehachapi TSECTION

Does anyone know if Tehachapi/Tehachapi II came with a TSECTION? I could've sworn it did due to the SR_TPII_ sections but I don't see it in my files...

Anyone have an idea? I'd love to be able to run the route again...

    Regards,

    -Frank C.

The latest tsection in the file library will work for Tehachapi II.

I do believe I have that but I'll double check...

EDIT: No SR_TPII files in the most recent (54) TSECTION...

There are aren't ANY SR_RouteName entries in the Global TSection.dat. Not for Seligman or Surfliner or Cheyenne or Feather River.

    Charles,

This is for the Tehachapi II update that 3DTrains released...I don't remember ever seeing a TSECTION, but when I select a piece and deselect it, TSRE drops to the desktop which is a sign of the shape not being in the TSECTION. This is what confuses me!

That is not what you asked in your OP. You said nothing about 3dTrains' scenery expansion. It was not an update. An update would have come from 3DTS not 3dTrains!

Looking at the file dates in my TPII route folder I see that the 3dTrains scenery expansion replaced the RDB, REF, RIT, TDB, TIT and TRK files and the TSection.dat file. That is 3DTS-TPII was released in 2001 and the 3dTrains expansion was released in 2003.

And BTW there are no "SR_RouteName" file entries in any of TSectioon.dat files in their Route folders.

We need to be clear about whether the tsection being talked is the local or global tsection.

I need to apologise as I did not specify that I was talking about the global tsection.

Derek, Since the tracks are controlled by the GLOBAL TSECTION, I'd assume it was a global issue...

Charles, If you click on a track section; you might have to click a few; it'll say SR_TPII_ as part of the file name. For me, when I click on one, as I'm re-building the route since my TDB/RDB was MIA, some pieces will crash TSRE when deselected.

Given that both of the companies involved are represented in the standardised global tsection, there is no special tsection for the route.
    Cheers
