Thread: No Invisocar horn sound on MSTS routes thru Open Rails

    Study the activity files and the path files that come with the Ruel route to see how these initial routes that were made for Open Rails exclusively handle things differently in terms of activity dialogs, defect detectors, AI horns, AI switching movements, weather change triggers, etc. The methods employed are diverging to such a degree that it becomes an exercise in futility anymore to specifically design activities that work in both platforms.

    You simply cannot do activities in MSTS that 'pitch and catch' freight cars between moving AIs and the player train, like below

    After the player departs, the AI re-engages for more switching.

    That just sounded TOO easy Ged lol. Changed the 0 to 1 but still have silent horns on AI engines. I think maybe I'll just concentrate on Open Rails whilst I still have (most of) my sanity.........

    Yes I've just spent an hour ploughing thru the Open Rails Manual and it's certainly amazing what the programme can do.
