Anybody else use Paint Dot Net

I started a little project back in March that needed some custom items.
I started with Sketchup and got so far as to get the roof peak right.
Then I rediscovered Paint Dot Net and started retexturing things from my hard drive.

Here's one of the depots,

I haven't retextured much of anything, really, but paint.NET is my texturing go-to, and it does about anything I would ever need of it. I'm still learning new tricks in it. The noise tool, for one, is pretty useful

The tower, track, cars, signals and signs have all been redone
Lots of good images to use on the net. And the snipping tool makes it so easy.

I found this whistlepost in one of the RMD routes.
It started out as CP_Whistlepost.
I retextured it and made a yard limits sign too.

Looks like I'm not the only one who sees a lot of signs with holes in them... Also, the lens on that one switchstand, that looks really good

The texture for the lamp threw me for a loop.
Seems the lamp ring colors are behind an alpha of the lens.

Hmm...nice! I got a couple ratty old ones in the set, thanks to Northshore Mining not bothering with new signs out in the boonies. I may make an alternate texture with a more aged crossbuck in it, for routes where that's more common
