OR on NEW Win10 machine with GeForce GTX 1660 Super

Hello,
I am struggling to get rid of very shimmery visuals in OR using this card. It is almost like there is no Anti-Aliasing being recognized, yet I have the following setting on (below).
Looking for comments form people with cards in the same ballpark as mine to share settings, or suggestions to get rid of shimmering:

Aniso: 16x
AA-FXAA: on
AA-Gamma Correction: on
AA Mode: override app
AA Setting: 8x
AA Transparency: 8x
Texture Filtering: on/quality/trilinear

Messed with OR and my cards settings for an hour last night, and couldn't find the right combination of settings to eliminate the shimmering effect. Decided to try Monogame, and messed with the Mulisampling option in the UI, and found a very satisfying result.

For other reasons, I started running the MG builds, and found less problems like that on the screen too.

I haven't upgraded anything yet, and so far the normal weeklies are working OK on the ancient desktop. Thinking AMD for a redo. However, they've gotten a little too heavy for my ancient laptop with frame rates trying for single digits (personal experience: game is unplayable below 15). Is the MG version any easier on the hardware? (Laptop is early i5, 4G RAM, lots of SSD, Intel graphics; desktop is Core2 Extreme, 8G RAM, SSD & HD, nVidia 750ti and runs non-MG weekly at or near the 60 Hz monitor refresh lock)

I dont see much difference, but then the unstables are now on monogame and the weeklies will be sure to follow soon once the bugs are sorted out, mainly bringing the video fixes across from the MG to the unstable version. I think that the MG versions maintained by Csantucci and perpetual kid can be considered to be the cutting edge as they contain features that have not yet made it into the unstable vesrion.

Hi Neil, it looks like I'll be getting a new system like you did, but after tax time. I was looking at the same Nvidia card GTX 1660 6GB like you have, and a I5-10,000 series chip. My system is 10 years old and would like to get a new desktop with all the bells and whistles that work very well with OR and RW. I have to admit, I would love to get into Subnautica.

Hey buddy, now that this system is "fine-tuned" and everything is in good working order, OR and Flightsim are so much more enjoyable, and smooooooth as silk
