No worries, Jason.
I'm also looking forward to what v3 might bring.
Doing this run has made me more aware of just how cumbersome it is to play both despatcher and engineer without being able to pause the action.
But it's enjoyable, all the same.
I have arrived at Mojave and have editing to do before uploading the next video.

I stopped looking forward to V3 a long time ago
The funny thing is the longer you stay away from something you either miss it more, or miss it less. I know that sounds like an opposite because it is depending on the subject you miss. Ex-girlfriends (wives) that wasn't that great for you to begin with. You might miss the good things but you certainly don't miss the things that bothered you.
The realistic physics, MP, and heck even parts of some of the routes I do miss from time to time, and I may fire it up when I'm bored. But you mentioned dispatching yourself and wanting it to be as real as it gets, those lines I know are busy enough to require more than 1 dispatcher let alone the driver. I could never quite shake that. For me the time I miss the most is when V2 first came out. There was no LA, no Seligman, no Bakersfield. Just all the routes that was available at the time and plenty of people to operate in a session. Unfortunately those times for me will never be the same, it's just not possible with the resources available. Which is why I finally gave it all up.
But honestly with what I'm doing now in the hobby I haven't been bored in a very long time. The closest thing I come to is creative block when being a route slave for my own territory in Trainz. At first you might procrastinate, but eventually you miss it so bad that overcomes the procrastination. You run out of excuses and you just do the work.
I still keep an eye on these forums more out of curiosity. But there is no creativity here unfortunately. I read a forum daily over in Trainz and see new creations popping up every day or two. Most get you excited, and some you even add to your routes.
Glad to see though that you are having fun and there is still some life in a quality product.
Thanks
Sean
