    Default How do I create a car spawner?

    I added roads but I do not see an option in TSRE to add a car spawner. Is there something that I need to add to the ref file? I have a carspawn.dat with several cars in it.

    Yes. The top of the ref file should look like this.

    [email protected]@@@@@@@@@JINX0r1t______
    Dyntrack (
    FileName ( DYNTRACK )
    Class ( "Track Sections" )
    Align ( None )
    Description ( "Dynamic track piece" )
    )
    Platform (
    Class ( "Mainline Stations" )
    Description ( Platform )
    StoreMatrix ( )
    )
    Siding (
    Class ( "Mainline Stations" )
    Description ( Siding )
    StoreMatrix ( )
    )
    CarSpawner (
    Class ( "Vehicles" )
    Description ( "Car Spawner" )
    StoreMatrix ( )
    )

    This is the default, you can put then under any class you want.

    Just an added question, to create/include multiple Car Spawners, which of those lines do you number "Car Spawner - 1" or something else added to make them separate?

    )

    CarSpawner (
    Class ( "Vehicles" )
    Description ( "Car Spawner" )
    StoreMatrix ( )
    )

    Thank you.

    Default Car Spawners

    ".....which of those lines do you number "Car Spawner - 1" or something.........?"
    None. A single entry in the Ref file does it.
    Car Spawners are placed on roads using TSRE, as many as you want. The vehicle mix is controlled by the carspawn.dat file.

    I know I've read about this somewhere but I'm old and can't remember where. A search does no good.
    You wouldn't happen to have a link would you. Or maybe the time to give a quick how to.

    Thanks

    Never mind I found it right here on my handy dandy little hard drive.

    regards,
    So, you just create multiple
    ")
    CarSpawner (
    Class ( "Vehicles" )
    Description ( "Car Spawner" )
    StoreMatrix ( )
    )"

    Within the folder and then select which one you want on which road(s)? How can you "Label" them as to "Dirt Road Only" or "Path Only" or "Secondary Road Only"???

    Don,

    Here's a carspawn file I made for my CN route. This works in OR and TSRE. It should reside in your route's OpenRails folder, and probably in the route's root folder, as well (where the carspawn file has always been) - TSRE doesn't look in the OpenRails folder, unless that was fixed in the new version, which I don't have yet

    carspawn.zipcarspawn.zip
