Using $next command in Openrails Timetable editor

$next

Start time is after 00:00 at the end of the timetable. May be used to start train running after midnight.

As stated in openrails manual. Can somebody help me with this?
I want to know how to use this

I have never used it but I believe you use it when you want to start a train after other trains that are running at the end of the day that start after midnight (00:00). If you don't use it those trains will start at the beginning of the day.
