Thread: 'Search Consists' feature?

  1. #1

    Question 'Search Consists' feature?

    G'day all!
I have a feature request for TSRE5. I don't know why this didn't get implemented before. It's a headache to search a particular consist in both the MSTS Consist Editor and TSRE5. So if a 'Search Consists' feature could be added it would be really helpful. Also the official site of Goku (onrails.eu) is not opening for me. I just get a white page. I wanted to post this there, but I wasn't able to do so.

    ????????????????????
Just WHAT are you going to search for that there is not in the program now? The consists are listed in alphabetical order and one can select an ENG or WAG from the list of rolling stock and then select "Eng" from the menu, then select "Find Consists" from the drop down list and get a list of all consists that contain the selected Eng or Wag. What more do you want?

I did not know that. Thanks for telling me.
Btw I was looking for an option to search a particular consist from the CONSISTS folder, just like we can search TRAINSET. For example, if a file is 'sample.con' then I can search for 'samp' and it would show all the consists that include that letter. Hope you understand

That is much more understandable than your OP.

BTW did you know that if you click on the first item in the consist list then press the "s" key on your keyboard that will take you to the first Consist that starts with "s"?

Anyone using Windows would know that. It's handy, but when I have over 50 consists starting with "s", it becomes difficult.
