Crawhill plus the update and Crawford routes are the same?

I downloaded three files here from the file library and are below:


crawhill (John Stanford)
crfd_upd (David Rowe)

crawford (??)

Are those two files the same except one with the update for crawhill? The reason why I am asking is that I couldn't extract the exe file of crawhill so I decided to get crawford and no problem to extract into temporary folder then move to 2MSTS in another drive. I believe that the update is only for crawhill not crawford to extract. Is that correct?

You need the 2 files;crawford.zip and crfd_upd.sip.

Claudie, First want to say thank you for your reply but I thought that the update is for crawhill.zip not crawford.zip I am confused with this. I might as well go ahead to do this and see what happen next with this.

There are three files for this route:

1. Crawhill.zip 1/12/2003 This is the Original route file by John Stanford.
2. Crfd_upd.zip 1/9/2008 An update for above file. Removes the flashing road transfers from the right of way which have been replaced with custom terrain textures and updates the vegetation textures. Requires CRAWHILL.ZIP. Uses default MSTS tracks. By David Rowe.
3. Crawford.zip 2/8/2011 This is an REUPLOAD with permission of John Stanford. Needed because Installer would not work with Win 7 or newer.

So if your Win OS is Win 7 or newer you need file #3 Crawford.zip and if you want the updated textures you need file #2.

BTW Did you know that Crawford Hill tracks are included in the Orin Line route?

Charles, first want to say thank you for your reply about the files in order to install. And I was surprised to see that Crawford Hill tracks are included in the Orin Line route. So I decided not to bother to install them.
