Station Stops

On explore mode the blue station icon on the track monitor doesn't appear. There a setting to fix that? I don't want to unexpectedly overrun stations.

Unlike MSTS, Open Rails does not show stations in the track monitor unless in activity mode, and even then, will only show those that are set as stops for the player.

Is there a specific reason why it is like that? In exploration mode, i find it useful to see or discover where things are (platforms, sidings, ...) and even in activity mode, to search for the right siding or spot to park a car or a string of cars add to the challenge. Could it just be, for those who want it, like me, and those who do not want it, a select button in the general window of OR or elsewhere?

You already have the option to "Explore" as well as "Explore in Activity Mode". The OP needs the latter.
