Default TS Mullan Pass “Boeing Train West Part 1”

I just purchased Train Simulations Mullan Pass today and the first act I’m running is “Boeing Train West Part 1” I’ve come up to the stalled grain train on the hill and followed the prompts to connect and push them to Blossburg. Is there another prompt when it’s time to push? The last one I see after connecting is about either switching cabs or staying in mine. I go to push and we really don’t go anywhere but mostly backwards and usually break a knuckle in the process. What am I doing wrong? Tips are very welcome :-)

What version of ORTS are you using. I am having similar issues.

I turned my computer off for the night but it should be the latest MG version. If I start pushing I break a knuckle or more times then not it starts rolling downhill and I break a knuckle.

Ok, I am using the same version as you and have the same issues. If I switch back to the 1.31 version, the activity works normally.

It is a lot more useful to say i am using mg82 rather than the latest version.
When the conversation is revisited in some months time, no one will know what version you are running.

    I will try with mg82.

I have just run the activity up to the broken train.
I got a number of coupler breaks of 1.2 million pounds at car 64from con file BNSF Dash 9-44CW 111car G-BENLVW 4hlp dp

    As there are 2 dash9's ( 280,000lb ) on the front and 4 sd70ace's ( 700,000lb ) at car 82, I don't see how its possible to get a force of 1,2 million pounds at car 64.

I have posted a bug report at Elvas Tower asking about forces, which I think is the problem.

As the front 2 engines can only generate 280,000lb and the 4 aces can only generate 700,000lb and there are 82 cars between them, I don't see how its possible to get 1.2 million pound of force at car 64.

    Hi Team,

The attached picture shows the couplers breaking on compression, if I read this correctly.
I am not sure this is what we want.

    Comments please?

    I'm running the latest testing OR version (abeb7d51) and even with "break couplers" unticked I can't get the stalled train moving. Runs rather fast in reverse though..... Also does anyone else get the following on the OR log when running the Ash Grove Switching act?: Warning: {TileX:-12502 TileZ:14673 X:-28.4261 Y:1188.1 Z:-937.035} car spawner 2985 doesn't have connected road route between {TileX:-12500 TileZ:14672 X:570.6401 Y:1222.601 Z:676.6909} and {TileX:-12502 TileZ:14673 X:-35.1129 Y:1188.057 Z:-939.5806}
    Regards,

    Nick

I get the train moving with notch 5, so you have something seriously wrong.

What fps are you getting? I get between 15 and 30.
