Hi Bruce,
Route Riter has an option to point to a different route.
I have never used it, I just change the registry.

Trick it using an empty TXT file with a EXE extension.
Works just fine in most cases.

Hi Chaps,
Apologies to seagoon - with the diminishing number of users having a 'live' MSTS installation, I will remove that check from MSTS_Swap and create a dummy train.exe. It may have an effect on some of the other utilities used, but I suppose that's the penalty we must pay for progress!!
... and thanks to Parker for coming to my rescue.
Cheers,
Ged
Hi seagoon,
v1.8 of MSTS_Swap should be available soon from the library.
Yes, it's been pointed out to me that the current library version is 1.6! I created v1.7 way back in September 2017 but for some reason never uploaded it. The only change in it was to transfer some data, previously held in files, into the Registry. If you don't have MSTS_Swap installed, it'll make no difference to you. If you do have it installed, I suggest that you uninstall v1.6 (which will leave the original folder) then install v1.8 into that same folder. The first run will then transfer data from installations.msts, MSTS-Sim.params and MSTS-Tools.params files into the Registry and remove those files.
Cheers,
Ged
