It's the Most Wonderful Time for Mactier
Greetings everyone!
Its been a long time since I've posted an independent photo thread. Every December a good friend of mine and I run ORTS exclusively on the Mactier subdivision. Its become a tradition with the magical winter environment on this Canadian Pacific mainline for MSTS and ORTS. This year, I'm working on a second Mactier activity back. This one specifically set in the year 2010.
First up, we have train 115 coming north out of Toronto. This first photo shows a full Spence yard.

Meeting a monster southbound intermodal at Graighurst.

Snow plows are staged in Mactier whenever adverse weather may strike in rural Ontario.

Of course, more to come!

I did a double header with 115, my return trip was 104.

Arriving into Vaughan. The yard crew was meeting us at the yard lead crossing to break down the train.

Looking good! This is feeling like winter

When I ran this following round trip, a major snow storm hit Southern Ontario. But despite the weather, the trains keep a rollin!
It was near whiteout conditions leaving Vaughan, the sander was earning its pay today!

Heading over the Nottawasaga River north of Ypres.

Waiting on one at Buckskin.

Arrived into Mactier, RTC told us we were turning and burning for a 112 which was coming down the Parry Sound Sub.

Our turn and burn was a monster intermodal 112.

The last round trip on Mactier of the season started as a 435 with an SD40-2 trio.
