Anyhow, picked up Munich to Augsburg and Main Spessart Bahn, both look to be cracking routes in so far as the TSW2 constraints apply.

Just added Wuppertal to Hagen - short route but has two alternative lines, the main and the S-Bahn. The latter is quite good with steep gradients, some single track and a sinuous course.

I've got all the German routes, which I really do enjoy, except, Rapid Transit, which is personally boring, but, very nicely constructed. A massive pity that DTG still have these ridiculous restrictions on all these routes, as if I'm going to jump off a platform footbridge, ye Gods.....
Anyway, Merry Christmas one and all, stay safe and enjoy yourselves as best you can this weekend, apparently we have storm Bella to contend with across Britain from Sunday onwards, that sounds like stay indoors and play train simulator weather, to me.

If I can sneak it past the wife, I'll probably add the other Ruhr route (Duisburg?) to complete the collection. Like you Steve, not too bothered about Rapid Transit.
A shame the Wuppertal and RSN routes can't be merged as that would give a nice length run.

Well I decided to give the LIRR a try...
Refunded after half an hour.
Signalling system bears no relation to the upcoming speed shown on the HUD.
Door operation clunky having to insert the key at each stop.
Train sounds awful - sounded like a screeching banshee not an EMU.
Save game collapses in style on this route due to density of traffic.
Track looks awful, chunky with very odd third rail, like early MSTS or one of the early model railway games.
And if you have the objective marker on it obscures the upcoming signal (FWIW) on the gantry.

I was reading the DTG forums earlier. Re-installed TSW2 on a whim, played it for 10 minutes and uninstalled it.

Pile of garbage as far as i am concerned.

Some of it is okay Mike (IMHO) but even the German routes start to get a bit samey and there is no point having a timetable mode if the save game can't restore properly.

The forthcoming Swiss route will probably be okay as will Cane Creek but doubt I will be making any Day 1 purchases - leave it a few months for the next available sale.

At the moment finding myself back in one of the space sims (X3 Albion Prelude) for my general entertainment.
