Stainless Steel

This question actually relates to a scenery object I am creating in Sketchup, but I thought I's post it here as I suspect loco and wagon designers are more likely to have run into this.

How does one create a texture to render something shiny such as stainless steel? In this case I am trying to render columns in a station that have stainless steel wrappings around them. See picture below:

Use google and copy the image texture you want and modify it to suit......
There are texture file sites out there...
