GN Hi-Line

I can not run this route completely in ORTS. It runs fine in MSTS, but there seems to be an issue in ORTS.

All Westbound activities originating in Havre lock up at:

Lat : 48.570710

Lon: -110.242300


Activities Eastbound from Shelby lock up at :

Lat: 48.548570

Lon: -110.555500

This occurs in activities or in explore. This happens with the basic Hi-Line installment files ( GNHi_3_1 to GNHi_3_6 ), the updates ( GNHi_31 to GNHi_34 ) same thing.

So this occurs in both the Testing and the MG version. Looking at the code, I assume this is an issue that is there from the origins of OR.
I have a question: does this route use tiles greater than 2048x2048?
Here http://www.interazioni-educative.it/...unactivity.zip a temporary patch - only for OR NewYear MG rev. 86 - can be downloaded that should both generate a Trace line in the logfile with some data useful to understand what is happening, and also avoid the crash, even if in a rough way.

I once had a similar problem with another route (Chicago Great Western) that always would produce a crash near the Winston Tunnel area until I replaced the supplied long distance paths with new paths built from the ground up using Trackviewer.

I just recently ran this route from Havre to Whitefish in explore mode with no crashes and issues with MG 86. Not sure if it will be the same scenario due to it not being an activity.
